CEDIA Booth # 1112-brings Sony today the big screen 3D cinema experience with the new VPL-VW 90ES – the first 3D-front projector of the company.
Designed with the custom or special consumer electronics market in mind, the VPL-VW 90ES the first projector to be branded with Sony's "Elevated standard" (ES) moniker, which means the emphasis on high build quality and excellent video experience. it is also designed for external control systems seamlessly integrating.

The projector of Silicon X-tal reflective display (SXRD ™) full HD (1920 x 1080) performs film-like with Sony's 24 p true cinema ™. passing frame sequential 3D technology with active-shutter glasses which, together with Sony's own 240 Hz high frame rate technology work, smooth, full high-definition 3D graphics.
The new 240 Hz high frame rate drive supports minimize cross-talk for minimal image distortion, produce an unparalleled 3D and 2D high definition cinematic experience. in addition, the projector uses a single Ultra High Performance (UHP) light that drives 1000 ANSI lumens brightness and delivers a rich black photo courtesy of Sony's Advanced Iris 3 ™ technology that helps to create a dynamic contrast ratio of 150, 000: 1.
Sony's ES audio and video products offer not only an excellent sound and image quality, they are built to provide a seamless integration with external control systems. Sony has worked closely with important custom home theater control companies to ensure that the drivers and accurate. The VPL-VW 90ES is no different, if the Member is of an elite list of Sony products that are easily integrated with leading home automation systems, including Control4 Crestron, AMX ®, Savant, ultimate remote control, RTI, Vantage and others.The projector is also Control4 certified, and contains an AMX Device Discovery Beacon.
The projector requires a special screen so that it can be easily placed in the existing home cinema with minimal adjustment of customer controls on the set up making it ideal for retrofit projects. It includes two pairs of Sony active shutter 3D glasses that are also compatible with the Sony BRAVIA HDTV 3D State.
The 3D front projector VPL-VW 90ES SXRD will be available in november for about $ 10,000 by Sony authorised installers and specialist dealers across the country. it will be equipped with two pairs of Sony active shutter 3D glasses and a built-in 3D channel.
VPL-VWPRO 1 Home Theater Projector
Also announced today, Sony VPL-VWPRO 1 front projector a high-performance 2D home theater solution developed for a cinematic experience of high quality at an affordable price.
The new model is equipped with updated full HD 1080p SXRD panels provide vivid colors and a cinematic image quality with a brightness of 1300 ANSI lumens. Sony's Iris 3-of-the-art technology offers a high dynamic contrast ratio of 85 000: 1, both light and dark scenes rich black levels with extreme detail.
If the VPL-VW 90ES, the VPL-VWPRO 1 is Control4 Certified, AMX Device Discovery includes a Beacon, and is designed for seamless integration with the other major business systems such as Crestron Control URC, Savant, Vantage and others.
The projector VPL-VWPRO 1Front comes with an additional lamp, and will be available in early October for about $ 3,400 by Sony authorised installers and specialist dealers across the country.
